How can my guests “Check-In” on Facebook at my location?

Facebook has depreciated the permissions necessary for this feature.

At this time the check-in feature is not functional.

If you’d like to enable the check-in function, your guests will be presented the option to “Check-In” at your location AND they can even write a quick post. This will give your business ALOT of visibility because all of their friends will see the post. It is against Facebook policies to force a customer to Check-In and it’s again their policy to write anything specific BUT, you can give them a suggestion for a post!

To enable this feature on your Hotspots, follow the steps below:

  1. Login to the Dashboard
  2. Go to Network>Hotspot>Hotspot List, and then click the ‘Edit’ icon for the location you’d like to enable the feature for.

  3. Scroll to the Login Methods area and click ‘Options’ under the Facebook selector.

  4. Enter your Facebook Page or Location ID into the field. You can click the ‘?’ where a page will get the ID for you.
  5. If you’d like, you can enter a message suggestion that gives your guest an idea of what to post with their Check-In.
  6. Click ‘Submit’
