Engenius Cloud Configuration Guide

The following instructions outline how to setup a Engenius Cloud network for the Smart WiFi Platform.  This guide covers configuring RADIUS profiles and guest access settings. This guide assumes that your Engenius Cloud equipment is already operational and with a live network ready to configure for Guest WiFi. Please make sure any firewall rules, web content filters, and other security measures have been configured to interface with the platform.

  1. Login to your Engenius Cloud account
  2. Select the Network under the Organization you want to configure
  3. Using the navigation panel to the left, Open Configure > Access Point > SSID
  4. Press Add SSID (Or Edit your desired existing network)
    1. On the Wireless tab configure with
      • Name: Guest WiFi (or whatever you wish)
      • Enabled: ON
      • Type: Wireless
      • Security Type: Open
    2. On the Captive Portal tab configure with
      • Enabled: ON
      • Authentication Type: Custom RADIUS
      • Server 1 IP Address: This will be provided to you
      • Server 1 Port: 1812
      • Server 1 Secret: This will be provided to you
      • Server 2 IP Address: This will be provided to you
      • Server 2 Port: 1812
      • Server 2 Secret: This will be provided to you
      • NAS ID: Checked
      • NAS ID Value: This will be provided to you
      • Accounting Server: Checked
      • Server 1 IP Address: This will be provided to you
      • Server 1 Port: 1813
      • Server 1 Secret: This will be provided to you
      • Server 2 IP Address: This will be provided to you
      • Server 2 Port: 1813
      • Server 2 Secret: This will be provided to you
      • Bandwidth Limit by RADIUS: Checked
      • Redirect URL: Select “Redirect users to a specified URL after login” and configure with the value you are provided.
      • Open Advanced settings and under the Walled Garden section, use the + button to add the Whitelist Entries one at a time. 
      • HTTPS Login: Checked
    3. On the Splash Page tab configure with
      • Splash Page Type: Select “External Splash Page URL” and configure with the value you are provided.
  5. Press Apply
