Configuration for IgniteNet Spark, SunSpot & SkyFire

This guide assumes your Access points have already been added to a site in the IgniteNet Cloud Controller.

The following instructions outline how to configure the IgniteNet site hotspot settings and enable them on an SSID.

  1. Login to the IgniteNet Cloud Controller portal.
  2. Select the Site Menu containing the APs intended for use with the SmartWiFiPlatform.
  3. Use the navigation panel to the left and select Configure > WiFi Access.
  4. Use the tabs on the top to select the ‘Hotspot’ page.
  5. Configure the page to the settings below and save.
    • General Settings
      1. Hotspot Enabeld: ON
      2. Select your hotspot mode below: External Captive Portal Service
      3. Smart Isolation: Internet Access Only
    • Network Settings
      1. IP Address: 10.10.50.1
      2. Netmask: 255.255.255.0
      3. DNS 1: 8.8.8.8
      4. DNS 2: 8.8.4.4
    • DHCP Server
      1. DHCP Start: 10
      2. DHCP Limit: 245
      3. Lease Time: 3600
    • RADIUS Server
      1. Enable RADIUS Auth: ON
      2. RADIUS Server Address: This will be provided to you
      3. Backup RADIUS Server Address: This will be provided to you
      4. RADIUS server shared secret: This will be provided to you
      5. RADIUS server auth port: 1812
      6. RADIUS server acct port: 1813
      7. Auth Method: CHAP
      8. NAS ID: This will be provided to you
    • Captive Portal
      1. Captive Portal URL: This will be provided to you
      2. Captive Portal Secret: hotspot
      3. Landing URL: This will be provided to you
      4. Idle Timeout: 0
      5. Session Timeout: 0
  6. After saving the hotspot settings, use the tabs on the top to select the ‘Wiresless SSID’ page.
  7. Click Add SSID, configure to the settings below and Confirm. (or edit your existing one)
    • General Settings
      1. Enable SSID: ON
      2. SSID: Guest WiFi (or whatever you wish)
      3. Broadcast SSID: ON
      4. Client Isolation: ON
    • Network Settings
      1. Network Behavior: Hotspot-controlled
      2. Walled Garden: Please add the entries available in the Default Walled Garden List. 
  8. After your devices update, your Guest WiFi signal will be live.
