Configuration for Cradlepoint Routers

The following instructions outline how to setup a Cradlepoint network for the Marketing4WiFi Platform.  This guide covers details such as configuring RADIUS, walled garden entries, and captive portals.  This guide assumes that your Cradlepoint router is already operational and on a live network. Please make sure any firewall rules, web content filters, and other security measures have been configured to interface with the platform.

Click on Network Settings and choose Local Networks/ WiFi.
Select which Wireless signal you wish to use and configure with the following.
WiFi Name(SSID): Smart WiFi (or whatever you like)
WMM: Ticked
Enable: Ticked
Security Mode: Open

Click Save.

Click on Network Settings and choose Local IP Networks. Select the GUEST LAN Network and click Edit.
Configure with the following settings.
IPv4 Routing Mode: Hotspot
IPv6 Routing Mode: None
Interfaces: Click the + to move the desired SSIDs to the selected list

Click Save.

Click on Network Settings and choose Hotspot Services.
Configure with the following settings.

Hotspot Mode: RADIUS/UAM
Hotspot/UAM Authentication port: 3990
RADIUS Server Address 1: radius1.smartwifiplatform.com
RADIUS Server Address 2: radius2.smartwifiplatform.com
Authentication Port: 1812
Accounting Port: 1813
Shared Secret: <We will supply this information to you>
Redirection on Successful Authentication: To the an Administrator defined URL
Redirection on successful authentication URL: <We will supply this information to you>

Configure UAM Settings:
Login URL:<We will supply this information to you>
Splash Page URL: <leave blank>
Shared Secret: hotspot
NAS/Gateway ID:<We will supply this information to you>

Allowed Hosts/Domains prior to Authentication.
You will need to add the domains from the list found HERE. Additional walled garden entries may be provided.

Click Save.
