Aruba Instant On Configuration Guide

The following instructions outline how to configure the Aruba Instant On guest portal settings and enable them on an SSID. This guide assumes your access points have already been added to a site in the Aruba Instant On Portal.

  1. Login to the Aruba Instant On portal.
  2. Click the networks icon and then the ‘+ Add’ button to add a new network.
  3. Configure with the following:
    • Usage: Guest
    • Network Name: Guest WiFi (Or whatever you wish)
    • Security: Portal
    • Click Save.
  4. On the network you just created, click the ‘Customize guest portal’ link and configure with:
    • Portal type: External
    • Server URL:This will be provided to you
    • Redirect URL:This will be provided to you
    • Allowed Domains: Enable the toggles for Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and then add the following domains.
      1. smartwifiplatform.com
      2. cloudfront.net
      3. symbc.com
      4. digicert.com
      5. 4wifi.net
      6. 4wifi-e2.net
    • Send RADIUS Accounting: Enabled
    • Server IP Address: This will be provided to you
    • Shared Secret: This will be provided to you
    • Secondary RADIUS Server: Enabled
    • Server IP Address: This will be provided to you
    • Shared Secret: This will be provided to you
    • NAS Identifier: This will be provided to you
  5. Press Apply Changes to save and the configuration is complete.
