Using MikroTik & OpenMesh Access Points in a Static IP Network

Network configuration is not supported by GoZone WiFi but the following describes a solution to using Open Mesh or MikroTik Access Points in an existing network using static IPs.

When placing an OpenMesh or a configured MikroTik access point into an existing network using static IPs, the systems administrator for the venue will need to create a DHCP reservation in their routers DHCP lease pool so that a static IP address can be assigned to the Access Point.

It is possible to set the static IP on the WAN interface of the MikroTik using Winbox, but this requires configuring the default gateway and DNS servers as well and it is recommended that this only be preformed by a professional.
